State of the Union: Wolves & Wisemen Live Reaction
With the 2026 State of the Union happening live, the guys decided there wasn't much point pretending it was going to be a normal Tuesday night.
Wolves & Wisemen Reignited — Episode 19
About This Episode
Episode 19 throws the normal Wolves & Wisemen format out the window.
So instead of the usual Check In, Rebel Report and carefully planned chaos, they turned the State of the Union into their own version of Mystery Science Theater 3000.
Watch the speech.
React in real time.
Make jokes.
Argue about what was being said.
Question the claims.
Watch Congress stand up and sit down approximately 9,000 times.
And wait patiently for the one announcement everybody really wanted:
Aliens.
Spoiler:
We didn't get the aliens.
President Donald Trump delivered the 2026 State of the Union before a joint session of Congress on February 24, 2026. Throughout the address, the guys react to subjects ranging from the economy, immigration, healthcare and government spending to the military, foreign policy, crime, faith, the Olympics and America's upcoming 250th anniversary.
The political claims made during the speech belong to the speakers making them; this episode is the Wolves reacting to the address in real time—not a fact-check or endorsement of every claim made during it.
Once the speech finally ends, Episode 19 gets back to what really matters:
Guys getting hit in the nuts.
Bad dad jokes.
People who say “but I digress.”
And the realization that after sitting through the entire State of the Union...
we still didn't learn anything about aliens.

A Different Kind of Episode
Most episodes of Wolves & Wisemen Reignited start with a plan.
Episode 19 technically had one too.
Then the State of the Union happened.
The original idea was simple:
Watch it together and provide the kind of commentary you're probably not getting from a major news network.
That means Episode 19 isn't intended to be a polished political analysis.
It's three guys sitting together watching one of the biggest political speeches of the year and reacting to it as it happens.
Sometimes they agree.
Sometimes they're skeptical.
Sometimes they disagree with each other.
And sometimes they're considerably more interested in somebody's mustache than whatever policy is being discussed.
Welcome to Wolves & Wisemen.
America at 250
One theme running throughout the address was America's approaching 250th anniversary in 2026.
That naturally gets the guys talking about patriotism, military service, American history and what the country looks like heading into that milestone.
For three guys with strong connections to military service, family and American history, those moments hit differently than the normal political back-and-forth.
There's plenty to criticize.
Plenty to question.
Plenty to laugh about.
But there's also a genuine appreciation for the people who have served, sacrificed and helped build the country over the last 250 years.
Faith in the State of the Union
Episode 19 doesn't have a traditional Check In.
But faith still finds its way into the conversation.
During the address, the president discusses what he describes as a renewed interest in religion, Christianity and belief in God.
That catches the guys' attention.
Not because Wolves & Wisemen believes faith belongs to one political party.
It doesn't.
But because talking openly about God is exactly why Reignited exists.
Faith shouldn't require pretending you're perfect.
And it shouldn't require pretending everybody who believes in God agrees politically.
For Wolves & Wisemen, faith is bigger than politics.
Politicians come and go.
Parties change.
Governments change.
God doesn't.
Heroes in the Gallery
Some of the strongest moments of the address involve people sitting in the gallery whose stories are recognized before Congress.
Military members.
Families.
Rescue personnel.
Americans who survived tragedy.
People who lost loved ones.
Whatever somebody's politics may be, stories of courage, sacrifice and service create moments that go beyond the normal partisan fight.
Those are also the moments where the military backgrounds and experiences around Wolves & Wisemen become especially noticeable.
The jokes slow down.
At least temporarily.
And respect takes over.
Politics Without Pretending We're Political Experts
One line early in the episode probably explains the entire show:
We're probably not going to be right on everything politics—but we're going to make it funny.
That's Episode 19.
The guys aren't presenting themselves as economists.
They're not foreign-policy analysts.
They're not constitutional scholars.
They're watching.
Listening.
Questioning.
Reacting.
And occasionally calling bullshit.
Some statements made during the State of the Union involve disputed political claims or subjects where Republicans and Democrats strongly disagree.
The episode captures the hosts' immediate reactions and opinions as the speech happened.
That's an important distinction.
Wolves & Wisemen is a conversation—not a political authority.
Still Waiting for the Aliens
There was one bipartisan issue the guys were particularly concerned about.
Where are the aliens?
UFOs?
UAPs?
Recovered craft?
Secret technology?
Something?
Anything?
After waiting through the entire speech...
nothing.
No alien disclosure.
No announcement that the government has a UFO in a warehouse.
No little green dude walking into the House chamber.
Nothing.
For a show with Fringe Files...
this was deeply disappointing.
Sacked
With the State of the Union finally finished, the guys get back to the serious issues facing America.
Testicular trauma.
Episode 19's Sacked includes a golfer experiencing one of the worst possible ricochets imaginable.
Golf ball.
Hard surface.
High speed.
Direct return to sender.
Then comes an Olympic clip involving another unfortunate impact and a martial-arts roundhouse kick that lands exactly where nobody ever wants a roundhouse kick to land.
And because apparently once wasn't enough...
the guys bring back Murph's infamous sack-shot video.
Some clips are timeless.
The Show Completely Falls Apart
At this point, the planned rundown is basically dead.
Should they do Fringe Files?
Rebel Report?
Today in History?
Boners?
Nobody knows anymore.
One host has been awake since 3:30.
Another keeps disappearing.
Segments are being introduced out of order.
Videos are getting played before anybody can set them up.
And everybody starts arguing about whether they should continue the show.
In other words:
Peak Wolves & Wisemen.
Today in History
The improvised Today in History includes several major historical events connected with February 24.
Among the topics the guys bring up:
Muhammad Ali and Sonny Liston
The Alamo
The Gulf War
American military history
Which leads to the realization that February 24 apparently has a lot of war attached to it.
Probably not the uplifting historical theme anybody was looking for.
Boners
Episode 19's Boners is less of a structured segment and more of a free-for-all.
Targets include:
People who don't answer the group text.
Apparently sending a message to three people and receiving absolutely nothing back is enough to earn all three a nomination.
Then there's:
People who say “but I digress.”
The argument?
If you're going to stop ranting...
just stop ranting.
You don't need to announce it.
There's also discussion about deliberately rage-baiting friends by liking your own messages and social-media posts, people messing up the hosts' names, and a story about a Navy ship dealing with a serious shortage of working toilets.
By this point there really aren't rules anymore.
Dad Jokes
And when you've already reacted to the State of the Union, watched multiple men get hit in the nuts and complained about broken toilets...
there's only one logical place left to go.
Dad jokes.
Why shouldn't you iron a four-leaf clover?
Because you don't want to press your luck.
What keys unlock a banana?
Monkeys.
Why did the scarecrow win an award?
Because he was outstanding in his field.
This is the high-level intellectual discussion people have come to expect from Wolves & Wisemen Reignited.
What Happened to Fringe Files?
The planned Fringe Files topic for Episode 19 was:
The Moon.
The guys tease questions about the Moon, conspiracy theories, its size and distance, craters and claims that it may be hollow.
But because the State of the Union took up most of the episode, the full Moon Fringe Files discussion never actually happens.
Rather than pretending the segment happened, we're saving that rabbit hole for another night.
Because the Moon deserves more than five rushed minutes.
Especially when there are aliens to find.
Key Takeaways
Episode 19 isn't a normal episode. The State of the Union became the show.
Politics doesn't have to eliminate humor. The guys react to serious issues without pretending every second has to sound like cable news.
Question what you hear. Political speeches contain claims, statistics and arguments intended to persuade. Listen, investigate and make up your own mind.
Faith is bigger than politics. Christianity doesn't belong to a political party, politician or government.
Respect sacrifice even when you disagree politically. Stories involving military members, rescuers and families can transcend partisan arguments.
Don't pretend to know everything. Part of an honest conversation is being willing to say you don't know.
Plans change. Sometimes you build an entire show rundown and then spend most of the night watching the State of the Union.
We still want the alien files. Two hours later, the most important Fringe Files question remained unanswered.
Never trust a golf-ball ricochet. This one requires no further explanation.
The Bigger Conversation
Episode 19 is messy.
It's political.
It's funny.
It's occasionally serious.
And it's probably one of the better examples of what Wolves & Wisemen actually is.
Three friends don't have to agree on every detail to sit down and talk.
You can question politicians you normally support.
You can agree with somebody you normally oppose.
You can laugh.
You can challenge something you hear.
You can admit you don't know enough about a subject.
And you can go look for the answer yourself.
That's healthier than allowing a politician, political party, cable-news network, influencer—or podcast—to do all your thinking for you.
Listen.
Question.
Research.
Talk to people.
Then make up your own mind.
And through all of it, remember that politics isn't the foundation of Wolves & Wisemen.
Faith is.
Governments change.
Presidents change.
Political parties change.
The news cycle changes by tomorrow morning.
Our job isn't to worship politicians.
It's to keep trying to become better men, better fathers, better friends and stronger followers of Christ.
And occasionally...
to watch somebody take a golf ball directly to the sack.
Balance.
